Janine D. Garlitz, Esq.

Janine Garlitz dedicates her practice to representing individual and institutional investors in securities arbitration proceedings and securities class actions. Her cases on behalf of investors have involved numerous types of securities, including stocks, bonds, options, Regulation D private placements, fraudulent Ponzi schemes, hedge funds, commodities and collateralized mortgage obligations. She has represented investors in arbitration before the Financial Regulatory Authority (FINRA), the National Futures Association (NFA) and the American Arbitration Association (AAA), as well as class actions in state and federal courts.

Ms. Garlitz has also worked as counsel in receivership actions and offers her counsel to whistleblowers making complaints to the Securities and Exchange Commission and the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission.

Prior to joining Blum & Silver, LLP, Ms. Garlitz was a corporate and securities attorney at Ruden McClosky. Her experience includes representing U.S. and international issuers in a variety of capital market transactions. These transactions ranged from initial public offerings by emerging companies to offerings of sophisticated financial products by Fortune 500 corporations. She has extensive experience in Regulation D private placements.

Ms. Garlitz earned her Juris Doctor degree, summa cum laude, from Nova Southeastern University, Shepard Broad Law School, where she graduated number one in her class. During law school she was an editor of the Nova Law Review and was the recipient of the Book Award (highest A) in numerous courses.
